Conscious Hotel opening Tivoli Utrecht
On the 30th of September 2025 the Conscious Hotel Oudegracht in Utrecht opened its doors after a huge and beautiful renovation of the iconic concert hall the Tivoli was in the past into a boutique hotel. For this occasion Union house asked Buro Curious to create playful interventions to enthusiastically welcome and tickle the invited guests at the entrance and all through the tour of the renovated building.
For this occasion we were asked to bring out one of our signature performances called “the Red Carpet” With this playful performance we welcome every single guest entering the event at the door in classic hollywood red carpet galore. With this we created an atmosphere of playfulness and importance from the start on in which people felt seen and in a warm way activated from the first moment they entered the event. We also created another wonderful and playful element of small interventions during the guided tour. Different theatrical characters like the dreamy house maid, the musician handy man, the overachieving manager, intervened with a storyline of love and history specifically linked to the beautiful historical lifespan of the Tivoli Oudegracht.The guided tour ended in a secret party with a marriage proposal and a big party in one of the beautiful new rooms. A huge surprise for everyone of course!
This intervention was specifically created for this location and delivered an extra dimension of playfulness and a warm welcome. As well as bringing the history of this special place to life.
